  • A non-refundable deposit of £10 per person is required for Christmas party bookings. Booking will be confirmed upon receipt of deposit. Alternatively we can take a pre-authorisation on a credit card.

Amazing food served at country pub in Flaunden

This is a quintessential Country Pub with beautiful surroundings in the countryside. With nearby country walks over the hills of the Chess Valley, the Bricklayers Arms is an 18th Century country pub, which is also within easy access of many major routes to London and the home counties.

Voted 'Hertfordshire Dining Pub of the Year' by The Good Pub Guide, the Bricklayers arms offers an exceptional food experience.

Head chef Claude Paillet, has been at the Bricklayers Arms for over 15 years. Claude originally trained under Michelin Star chef Pierre Gagnaire. Claude's reputation is now well established as he cooks French and British classics with a twist of elegance in the beautiful English countryside.

The Bricklayers Arms offers an extensive wine list which features over 100 wines from all over the world. These wonderful wines also including exclusive and rare finds.

Fine Wines by The Glass

An added bonus is that the pub can offer a selection of these fine wines by the glass with thanks to the Coravin system. The Coravin Wine System is a system that enables you to have either red, white or rosé by the glass, enabling you to have different wines with every dish you are served. You can even pre-taste a vintage port then maybe serve it a week later at a celebration. This system enables you to pour that exclusive Merlot per glass without losing any of the flavour. 

The system enables you to try the wine to see if it is the has aged enough. If it hasn’t, you simply leave the bottle to age a little longer. This system has been enhanced with a hollow needle that penetrates the cork and the foil.  The wine is poured via the needle. The space created within the bottle, by the same needle, is filled with argon gas. As a result, oxidation will not occur, and the wine won’t become acidic. A fantastic system enabling you to enjoy these fine wines a glass at a time.

The Bricklayers Arms has fantastic facilities for meetings whether corporate or otherwise.
A breakfast meeting, annual progress meeting for lunch with partners, however large or small the pub caters for all meetings.
