When you enter this elegantly furnished Thai restaurant in Harpenden you are warmly greeted by the team. Inside there’s a refined ambience that’s utterly relaxing. This is due in part to the teams evident love for Thai food and culture. Food and drink streams to each table and every wish of each customer is granted so unobtrusively that you cannot fail to be impressed. The extensive menu offers a wealth of choice, with a set menu option available as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes to suit all palates and budgets. Equally delightful is the wine and drinks menu featuring a beautiful house. Bangkok Lounge’s award-winning chefs blend the freshest ingredients to create a fusion of flavour in every mouthful. 

Food

An example of such beautiful culinary delights would be the steamed mussels with Thai herbs in a steaming broth which contains dozens of contrasting flavours without being overwhelmed by one. Deep-fried king prawns paired with sweet chilli sauce provided the perfect precursor to the steamed sea bass with chilli sauce in a fresh lemon and lime dressing. The jungle curry was a masterpiece accompanied by fragrant bowls of jasmine rice and crisp vegetables in garlic and soy sauce, served with a mountain of sizzling tempura vegetables.
