Daybreak Nurseries is an independent local company that offers high quality flexible childcare from Dawn to Dusk. Daybreak was established in 2004, they have 4 nurseries, two of which are in Rickmansworth Hertfordshire. Rickmansworth Town Centre Daybreak opened in 2004, this central site offers a wide range of exciting experiences for the children. These include trips to the near by Aquadrome, Watersmeet Theatre which is the adjoining building, local shops, fire station and train station. All the children have access to an outdoor play area as the Town Centre Daybreak has free flow access from its preschool room. The garden has a wide range of equipment with safety play surface.
Opened in September 2010, Shepherds Lane Daybreak, in Rickmansworth is situated within the grounds of Shepherds Primary School. Shepherds Lane offers a secure and secluded site for up to 60 children. There are flexible sessions to suit your schedule.
Daybreak is extremely proud that all Daybreak’s four managers have been with the company from the beginning in 2004. The managers have collectively developed their teams and environments into unique nurseries that meet the needs of the children in their care. There ethos is “your child’s well-being is central to every decision we make.” Daybreak has supported all the managers through all their training which has included Honours Degrees in Childcare and Early Years Professional Qualifications adding depth to their knowledge and experience. All managers are trained in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, the Prevent Duty, Food Hygiene as well as continuing professional development.
This results in a positive experience for our children and their families as can be seen by the reviews for Daybreak on the leading UK Nursery website www.daynurseries.co.uk where both Rickmansworth Town Centre and Rickmansworth Shepherds Lane are awarded a score of 9.7 out of 10 making them the most highly recommended nurseries in the area.
Communication is important to Daybreak and they strive to keep all parents informed of all events and notices. They currently use a platform called Blossom to communicate daily feedback to parents. Further information about this is on the Daybreak Nurseries website. In addition, Daybreak also uses Parentmail, which is an online facility that helps them keep all details up to date and parents continuously informed. On a day to day basis you can email your manager with any questions or queries. Parents Evenings are held twice a year and are an opportunity to discuss your child’s development and each week parents receive an email from the management team explaining what your child/children will be focusing on for the following week. This is great so parents can take an interest in your child’s week ahead.
