Hazel End is located in the historical town of Bishop’s Stortford. Our home has finishing touches to make it warm and welcoming, whilst being modern and purpose built. It has luxurious social spaces, attractive décor and freely accessible, private gardens for residents and their loved ones to enjoy. Each one of our 66 bedrooms includes an en-suite wet room for maximum privacy and comfort.

Hazel End is situated within a quiet residential area, whilst being easily accessible with good road links. Visitors are welcome in our home.

Our Care

We take time to get to know our residents’ likes, dislikes, passions and hobbies. By doing this, we can support and care for individuals in the best and most supportive way. Our team are equipped with the latest care technology, enabling them to view and update care records quickly. This allows colleagues to spend more time with our residents. Colleagues are selected for their personal qualities and understand that every individual living with us has different needs.

Ever ready to offer support to family and friends via access to information and advice, our approach respects the uniqueness of each person rather than focusing on the diagnosis of dementia. Hazel End is also able to accommodate shorter stays and respite care, subject to availability. All care colleagues are trained and supported to ensure residents feel valued and able to live life to the full.

Our meals are nutritionally balanced and designed to suit the preferences of our residents. Hazel End can also support specific conditions such as Dysphagia. We pride ourselves on the quality of our catering, with our team preparing meals daily from fresh, seasonal ingredients. Our residents enjoy regular tasting events, to ensure our menus suit their nutritional needs, preferences and dietary requirements. Further meal options and snacks are also available each day.

Our catering team use local produce and fresh ingredients to prepare delicious, home-cooked meals for residents. Meals are nutritionally balanced and designed to meet the dietary needs of those in later life. We all have strong memories associated with certain recipes, foods, specific meals and for Hazel End care home, it is vital that the food we serve reflects this.
