The Cowper Arms is all about serving hearty British Pub favourites when it comes to food. The pub serves international specials, fine wines & local ales. The Cowper Arm's menu is full of traditional English pub classics all of which are hand-crafted by the superb in house chefs. The food is paired with local McMullen Ales which are brewed down the road in Hertford. There are a great selection of fine wines to be enjoyed by the fireplace in winter or in the outside area in summer. 

Useless Pub Quiz

Every Sunday from 8pm, The Cowper Arms has a quiz night. The food served until 7pm. Come along and share all that useless information that's knocking around in your head. You may even win the winner takes all cash prize. £2 per person entry fee. All that money goes to the winning team. There is also a 2nd Place: £25 meal voucher and 3rd Place: Bottle of Wine. Plus, there are chocolates for our favourite bits of Useless Trivia. The more people the higher the prize fund so tell your friends. Maximum team size is 8 people. 

Open Mic Night 

There is live Music every Tuesday from 9pm at the Cowper Arms. The best up and coming musicians and stars of tomorrow and those who do it as a hobby and a passion. The music and audience is often warm and friendly. If you are musically gifted and want to share your talent, put your name down and get up and play. Or just come along and enjoy the great atmosphere of brilliant musicians while you enjoy a pint or some wine.

Steak Night

Mondays from 5pm. Every Monday you can get 2 Bavette steak meals with chips, tomato and mushrooms + a side of onion rings + a glass of wine, beer or soft drink each for just £25. Bavette Steak is normally £16 each + onion rings £3 + drinks...so that's a good saving all round.

If you’re worried you may want to leave your car at home, we are within easy walking distance of all of Digswell, Burnham Green, Welwyn village, Tewin and most of Welwyn Garden City.
