The Rose & Crown in Sandridge is a beautiful 400 year old village pub just on the outskirts of St Albans. This traditional pub looks forward to welcoming everyone with open arms. They know what a village pub should be. 

Food & Drink

Lovely, genuine home cooked food & fresh Cask ale, great beers and wines. The food at The Rose and Crown is freshly made on the premises. From home made scotch eggs to the fat chips, legendary steak and kidney pies, plus much, much more. No matter if you are popping in for a quick power lunch or indulging in a full three course dinner, The Rose and Crown can make you some lovely food to fit the bill. The A La Carte menu offers a number of British classics all with our own twist on them, using locally sourced ingredients wherever we possibly can. The seafood is sustainably sourced through The Stickleback Fish Company and the pub does fish specials every Friday night. For lighter bites or to indulge in a bit of sharing, check out our British Tapas selection, yes that's British Tapas. Delicious sandwiches, all served on beautiful homemade white bread baked by our chefs every morning. Oh, and don't forget the Sunday roasts, served between 12-5pm. And for coffee lovers, freshly ground Italian blend from Smith's Coffee Company.

The Rose and Crown in Sandridge offers a warm welcome to all. Everyone from families to dog walkers, from locals to visitors from out of town. From cyclists and ramblers to business customers.

Function Room Available

Weddings, Blessings, Wakes, Conference meetings, Get Togethers, Chin Wags, Big Parties, Little Parties, Surprise Parties, Stag Dos, Hen Dos, Band Nights and Toddler groups. Whatever you need the Rose and Crown has a beautiful function room, with its traditional beams and original fireplace, is the perfect venue to let the good times roll in. The room can sit down 25 guests for formal dining. For casual events they can squeeze up to 40 people. For parties larger than 40 the upper bar area is available as well. There is no hire charge for the function room, however the Rose and Crown request a minimum spend of £400 on food. The pub understands not all events are the same, so if you require a smaller function they will bend the rules.
