We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Director of Rooms to lead and manage a division of c. 90 people within the Front of House, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Security departments at The Grove. This is a key role, reporting to the General Manager and taking a place on the Senior Management team, therefore previous leadership experience in a 5 star fast-paced and high volume hotel environment is essential, as is commercial awareness and strong attention to detail and standards.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of coaching, developing and inspiring multi-disciplined teams to ensure that they in turn are anticipating and exceeding guests’ expectations through personal impact, thereby maintaining the seamless and unique experience that visitors to The Grove have come to expect.
The role is pivotal within the hotel, communicating constantly not only with the teams who report in to this position but also with the Group Facilities Director in regard to Health and Safety matters, with external contractors and with key organisations such as Leading Hotels of the World. In a hotel where many projects can be running in tandem, it is essential that candidate can demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and strategically manage complex scenarios.
