The White Hart in Welwyn is a gorgeous pub and boutique hotel. The delicious menu and relaxing rooms are well known and revered in Welwyn. The hotel dates back to 1681 when it was Welwyn’s main coaching inn. It was a popular overnight stop for travellers going north from London. Nowadays, this quaint and stunning venue is bustling with life with locals and people visiting Welwyn either for the day or visitors stooping by for some tasty food.  

Food

For lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers an A la Carte menu as well as a bar snack & sharers menu. The bar is open all day and you can pop in for a pint of real ale or have cocktails or a G&T before your meal. There's an extensive wine list consisting of wines carefully selected by one of the owners who enjoys nothing more than recommending and discussing wine. The kitchen only uses quality ingredients and these ingredients are the drive for delicious, well thought out and creative dishes. The kitchen is run by a superb head chef and overseen by the manager who runs The Tilbury Kitchen which has earned and maintained two AA rosettes.  

Accommodation

The hotel has 13 bedrooms including 3 boutique rooms with jacuzzi baths. All rooms have been refurbished. All rates include breakfast which ranges from honey & thyme porridge to a full English. The hotel has been awarded 4 AA Stars for quality. 

Function Space

The hotel has a hidden gem which is its function space. This space has a private entrance and can lead directly to the guest rooms. It is ideal for celebrations & parties. The hotel also has a variety of conference and meeting packages so you can work as well as play at The White Hart.
