About the home
Our stunning new Ware care home is built to the latest care standards. Living here is all about luxury, comfort and choice. As soon as you set foot inside Riverside Place, you’ll be impressed by the light, space and quality of the home. There are many different enticing spaces to relax in, from the bistro and orangery on the ground floor, to the quiet lounges dotted around the home. We understand that residents like to continue to look their best, so our hair salon is open regularly for beauty treatments and pamper sessions. Each of the 72 bedrooms at Riverside Place is beautifully furnished and has en-suite facilities. Your loved one is also welcome to decorate it with their own treasured items, pictures and pieces of furniture if they wish.
The Care we offer
We provide specialist dementia care in most of our care homes. We understand the specific challenges faced by people living with dementia – our teams are able to provide professional and compassionate support for both our residents and their loved ones.
Our residential care home provides a safe, warm and friendly environment with support for daily tasks such as washing, cleaning and laundry. In our homes we work to create a welcoming atmosphere in which residents enjoy activities, go on outings and make friends with other residents. We recognise that residents have very individual requirements, and our care homes provide a range of care services to help meet these needs.
We provide nursing care for individuals with specialist requirements in many of our care homes. Our nursing care teams are fully qualified and have the specialist expertise required to care for residents’ varying medical needs and requirements. People who come to us may be living with conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or Motor Neurone Disease; others may have suffered a brain injury as a result of an accident, or require ventilator care.
Day care offers a friendly and stimulating home-away-from-home, for people who are still living at home and may need some additional support during the day. Many of our homes provide care for people with dementia, physical frailty or simply those who want a more active social environment. Our day care gives people the opportunity to socialise with friends and engage in a range of activities, while their family carers have the confidence of knowing their loved ones are safe and cared for.
Respite and Convalescent Care
We understand how difficult it can be for families or friends providing ongoing care. For this reason it’s important to occasionally find time for yourself. Our respite care services provide a crucial break for carers, either for a few hours with a visit to one of our day care sessions, or for overnight stays over a few days or weeks. Respite care offers family carers the chance to do daily chores, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off. We also provide convalescent care, to help people who need to recuperate after a hospital stay and to support them to be well enough to go back home.
